Traditional personal trainers are often focused on only one element of fitness and typically force a one-size-fits-all approach that just doesn't work for everyone.

With our client-centered approach, we will work together to formulate a plan specific to your goals and your "why".

With the GSPA plan, we will focus on your goals, skills, daily practices, and actions that you can take to help bridge the gap from where you are to where you want to be.

Accountability is the pathway to comprehensive deep health, behavior change, and longterm wellness that will help you feel more fulfilled.

You may know what to do but have a hard time staying consistent.

When life gets crazy and responsibilities at home and work pile one on top of the other, it’s easy to let our health, fitness and personal goals slip. The years go by and we don’t even realize how much our health has declined or how far we've gotten from our greater purpose.

But for most of us, there comes a time when we realize things must change. A time when gaining control over our body takes on new urgency.

For some, it’s a scary health diagnosis. For others it’s watching a loved one struggle with their own health problems. And for others still, it’s when they finally realize they’ve spent so many years taking care of others, that they neglected to take care of themselves.

Hi, I'm Jon Howard, Head Coach and Owner here at Relentless Courage.

With professional coaching at Relentless Courage we help people set and reach their goals through a client-centered, outcome based approach.

It took me nearly three years and two failed attempts to complete my first 100 mile endurance run in 2014.  I learned a lot during that time all while working as a fitness and wellness coach.  

I've worked at LifeTime Fitness, Orangetheory Fitness and had my own Wellness Coaching business for a few years.  Relentless Courage was officially born as an LLC in 2022.

I am currently enrolled in the Precision Nutrition Level 2 Master Coach Certification Program which will finish up in March 2023. L2 Master Coach Info

We'll start by learning all about you, including your goals, health challenges, and daily routine. From there, we'll customize your entire program and we’ll start the proven coaching process.  You can engage the ProCoach platform on your computer or mobile device.

We'll meet up four times a month over Google Meet.  You can message your coach whenever you need. Coaching with Relentless Courage

What's included:
  • 4 - 30 minute coaching sessions per month via Google Meet - these are called check-ins
  • ​24/7 access to your coach through the ProCoach app messaging feature - coach will respond within 24 hours
  • Daily accountability through the ProCoach app - actions decided on during check-ins
  • Coach assigned resources specific to your goals and needs - as applicable
  • Your workout program and meal planning is a collaborative effort - we'll create these together
  • You choose what you want to work on and your coach will serve as your guide - self-deployed strategies are proven more effective

Unconditional Positive Regard

This kind of coaching needs to be non-judgmental.  When we work with clients we always hold them in positive regard no matter what they bring to the table.  As coaches, our job is to hear what people have to say and help them move in a way that gets them closer to their goals, period.  

Client-Centered Coaching

Our coaches don’t make decisions for our clients or tell them what to do.  We help our clients make decisions for themselves and grow in ways that they choose.  We do provide guidance and support along the way.  That is client-centered coaching.

"Self-deployed strategies put a greater "burden" on the individual but, once mastered, can in theory be applied across domains.  Other-deployed strategies, in contrast, may be easier for a policymaker (or coach) to carry out but do not build the capacity of individuals to exercise self-control (or self-knowledge).  Optimal strategies depend not only on their likelihood of success but also on their ease of execution."

GSPA

GSPA stands for goals, skills, practices and actions.  It’s the way we start with something big and break it down into smaller parts.  Those smaller actions add up over time to help you reach your goals.

Outcome vs Behavior Goals

Outcome goals are the things we think about.  Our coaches have worked with clients who wanted to lose weight, have more energy, be more organized, get ready for that big event, be better leaders, get healthier and take back control of their life.  We’ll work to create SMART outcome goals through conversation and assessments.  Then, we’ll dial in our GSPA process to create behavior goals that add up to big things.

30 Minute Coaching Sessions

If you aren't quite ready to commit to ongoing personal coaching you can still work with us!  Just click HERE to get into the nutrition coaching calendar.  Sessions are 30 minutes and include a thoughtful follow up email with additional resources and action.  We can talk about much more than nutrition and our sessions are always 100% confidential.  Cost is $69.50 per session and payment is required at the time of booking.
