SET AND REACH YOUR GOALS.
Let's be clear, this is about you and not me. As a coach, my job is to listen first and then coach while still listening. Here is a bit about who I am.
In 2003 I started working for DBAT Addison as one of their first few private baseball coaches. That franchise now has more than 100 academies worldwide. While I wasn't with them throughout their growth, I did get the experience and train alongside professional baseball players and to see how things are built.
I got into fitness in 2008 after moving to Minnesota with my wife and two children at the time. LifeTime Fitness was my first job in fitness in 2009 and I held numerous management level roles before leaving in January 2013 to start my own business.
Training Edge Sports, LLC was born in the fall of 2012 and turned into a corporate wellness business, with one major client in Edina, MN. During my time there we built a wellbeing committee, introduced an employee funded healthy snack program, implemented office and manufacturing stretching for the entire company, conducted group exercise sessions multiple times per week where we averaged between six and 12 participants, ran company wide health and wellbeing programs aimed at building engagement and culture, included a weekly health and wellness newsletter and much more. I also had the opportunity to provide personal training for ownership and executives.
During that time I was able to set up the digital side of my business, present to businesses, conduct company wide health and wellbeing programs and meet with industry leaders to share our experience in the industry.
I eventually overcomplicated things, started another LLC called 10X Traction Wellness, which was supposed to align more with what I was doing in corporate wellness. Instead, it complicated my back end and I learned a valuable lesson, KISS.
After a couple years with Orangetheory Fitness I started the Relentless Courage podcast in 2019, just after my third 100 mile finish and just before my 40th birthday. The podcast has been a bit all over the place with hopefully inspiring stories of adventure, vision, block/rhythm, action, nourish, energize, a few special guests, a few mini series on personal growth and more. All in all, the theme is growth.
Relentless Courage officially became an LLC in fall 2022 and we had our first break even year in 2023. In addition to operating RC I also work in corporate wellness for a company called HealthFitness, a Trustmark Company.
One of the biggest moments in my professional career is when I finished my Master Coach certification through Precision Nutrition. This course consisted of six months of content, both digital and in person, where I was able to practice the skills and grow into a master coach. Even though I've been coaching since was 18 years old, I learned so much during the PNL2 Master Coach course.
Since 2010, when I ran my first ultramarathon, I have been setting big goals for myself. In fact, sometimes my expectation that everyone has goals and is working to grow gets me into trouble. It can be difficult to relate.
More than 25 ultramarathons later, including three 100 mile endurance run finishes, I know what it's like to set, plan, commit to and reach goals. No matter what your goals are, having a healthy foundation of body and mind, provide a solid base from which to build.
The services I provide are run coaching, personal health coaching (executive health coaching - where and how does it fit), nutrition coaching and corporate wellness services.
Coaching can be purchased on the "coaching sales" or "payment" page (once you purchase, I'll receive notification and reach out within a day or two) and corporate wellness services, contact me through the "CIW" page or by emailing me at jon@relentlesscourage.co.
