What is 60 Days of Hustle?
Just like anything else, 60 Days of Hustle is going to be whatever you make it! Some folks won't like that answer and some will take it as a challenge to grow like I am. It'll be a bit more than that too. Here's MORE!
There will be daily posts in the group sharing some of the things that I've learned in my experience as a personal trainer, nutrition coach, wellness coordinator and ultra-endurance athlete. These daily posts will come from the FIVE CORE PROGRAMS I've written over the last six years. They are Vision, Block/Rhythm, Action, Nourish and Energize. In addition to me sharing some of the things I've learned, my hope is that we'll engage in open conversation. After all this is NOT meant to be a lecture. It's to be a conversation. Join the conversation today! |
Every Day - VISION
Monday - Physical Challenge Tuesday - Personal GVRAT Update and Video Challenge Wednesday - Block/Rhythm, Action Thursday and Friday - Accountability, Action and Rhythm Saturday - Nourish and Energize Sunday - Week Prep Day |
Once you make your $8 payment at the bottom of this page, search for the "60 Days of Hustle" Facebook Group, answer the questions and let's roll. You can join this event anytime, even if it's the middle of July or August. The price will stay at $8. Let's be real... that's pretty cheap!
Why am I doing this now?
Let me tell you why I decided to do this 60 Days of Hustle now. Through the summer of 2020 I’m participating in the Great Virtual Race Across Tennessee (GVRAT is 1000k or a little over 600 miles August 31). We run from West to East and there is a website that tells us where we are in Tennessee based on the mileage we enter. It’s run on the honor system.
As of late June, I’m behind the buzzards. When you’re behind the buzzards it means you’re not projected to finish in the time allotted for the race. If I didn’t have the opportunity to “catch up” here in the next couple of months and they only went off projections, I would DNF.
I had a decision to make. I could either exercise WITHOUT the motivation and excitement that comes with a challenging set of circumstances like being behind the buzzards, which I don’t think would be a bad decision by the way. Or, I could decide to grind out the mileage over the course of the summer, get ahead of the buzzards, and beat the buzzards to the Northeast corner of Tennessee.
There are a lot of reasons I have participated in ultra-endurance events over the last 10 years. One of them is to keep me motivated in all areas of my life, not just running. It has forced me to manage my time and prioritize my calendar so I’m accomplishing the things that are most important to me. I’m not perfect. There are still default activities I gravitate to like a baseball app game on my cell phone. All of the running events that were on my calendar have been cancelled so far this summer so GVRAT has been what my training has been toward finishing.
There are a lot of things pulling at time and energy. While things have slowed down for many of us to a halt, we have an opportunity to build the future we choose. I think there has been a bit of a reset. I’ve found it helps to have some motivation and accountability.
I’m not exactly sure what this will turn into and wanted to share my motivational journey so we might be able to encourage and support one another. And, this is part of my job so I thought I'd charge a few bucks for it if you want to participate. Tap into the energy that goes into finishing an ultra-marathon. In the 60 Days of Hustle Facebook Group, I will schedule a simple post so that you can be reminded that there are things to do.
You can share wins big or small or share nothing at all in the group. It doesn’t matter. The point here is to continuously be reminded that there are things to be done. You don’t even have to do it. That’s on you but I’ve found if I hear or see something frequently enough and I’ll start to believe in it and move on it. Why not fill your feed with a reminder to stay true to your purpose and grow daily?
Daily action can be very simple and very small on some days and complex and big on other days. The point is to grow every single day no matter how big or small. Join me!
