Adding Value

The last few weeks I’ve been working hard to create a product that will add a ton of value to all of your lives.  EDGE Training Group is the product I’m talking about.  I’m still hashing out the details but thought I would mention my excitement about this truly life changing process.  My focus in creating this system is to give you tools to succeed. There is an exercise piece (Training Edge Sports app), lifestyle coaching (individualized), a community (closed Facebook page).  There will also be more.  My goal in this is to add as
much value as possible to you.  I’m committed to your success.  Stay tuned for more details...

Let me now explain briefly what Training Edge Sports believes are the 4 pillars to being successful in achieving your dreams.
My Integrated Wellness System as well as EDGE Training Group both stand on the same premise. If you take care of yourself and your employees (if you’re a business owner), you will have more success (in business and in life) than if you didn’t.

I will be putting the content in this blog post into book form at some point, but for now I’m adding value on this Sunday morning.

The 4 pillars that we stand on are stress management, sleep habits, food choices, and exercise.  All four are interconnected and if one is off, it will negatively affect the other three.  I’m going to briefly describe these four pillars and give an action item for each that will help you live healthier and happier right now.

Stress Management:

We all deal with stress in different ways.  The first step in managing your stress productively is to identify stressful situations, avoid them when possible, and come up with strategies that add value when escape is not an option. ACTION: Identify stressful situations in your life.

Sleep Habits:

Just like we all deal with stress, we all need to sleep.  In fact, most of us don’t get enough sleep.  If we don’t get enough sleep it will affect how we deal with our stress and what we put in our mouths.  I recently attended a USA Track and Field Certification course and a study was mentioned.  A group of college track athletes were split into three groups.  One group was given a wake up time,
another was given a bed time and the third was told they could do whatever they wanted.  It might not surprise you that the group with the bedtime did better on the track and in the classroom.  ACTION: Have a bedtime.

Food Choices:

The decision we have to make about what we eat happens most of any of the 4 pillars.  We are faced with this decision constantly.
Food is everywhere.  How do we make good food choices regularly and avoid setback eating? As we did with our management of stress, we need to identify situations where poor choices are present and be prepared to deal with them.  ACTION: Bring a cooler with you when you leave the house and only have healthy food at home. If it’s not in the cupboard/fridge, you’ll be less likely to eat it.

Exercise:

There are a number of ways to make exercise a part of your life.  If you move, your mind will be more alive and you’ll be more motivated to eat well.  Sleep will be easier because you’ll be more tired and exercise is a great way to positively deal with negative stress in your life.  ACTION: Plan your exercise sessions and do them first thing in the morning in order to ensure you’re getting regular exercise.

I hope you were able to take something away from this post.  Please leave a comment below and leave your feedback.  I’d love to expand individually if you have questions. Reach out on Facebook or via email. The more organized we are in our stress management, sleep habits, eating and exercise the closer we’ll be to achieving our goals and dreams.
