No pictures today. We're going speed round as I want to get this in there for future reference. Maybe I'll come back and update once we get into colder months here in MN. 60 Days of Hustle is still happening. Go to the 60 Days of Hustle page here on my site and sign up today. There's still lots of great content to be dripped over the next month or so. Invite your friends and go through the 60 DOH with a group! If you're not satisfied, I'll refund you every penny of your $8. July 21 in the afternoon - faster than usual :)8.46 miles which was longer than I planned on traveling. It's been steamy here in MN and this was no different. July 22 was split in two and involved walking all day with Hannah! We walked 1.82 miles in Wayzata while Elli was at Cross Country and Hannah wanted to show me some cool trails at a local park so we knocked out 3.5 miles over the midday. Check out my Instagram to see some videos of our time together @_jonhoward. July 23 in the middayThis run brought me under 200 miles to go in The Great Virtual Race Across Tennesse. It was steamy. July 24 in the afternoon humidityThis was a mistake. I biked my longest distance ever at over 25 miles and humidity was at 99.9%. It was a poor rest day activity and has led to a prolonged recovery period which I'm sitting in now. July 25 in the steamy afternoon5.9 miles in the afternoon and .86 in the morning for a small family celebration. Every mile counts. July 26 in the steamy afternoon6.19 miles and again, it was steamy. About 4 miles into this run I decided it was time for a break. I walked it in, reflected on my journey to this point and mapped out what the next four days would look like with no running to make happen. There is plenty to do and I'm getting a bunch of stuff done! July 27I am preparing for a final push that will last the month of August. I'll still walk a bit as to not burden myself with too much catch up. I'll likely be about 20 miles behind the buzzard which will put me needing to average around six miles per day every day in August. I haven't run much in the mornings but may switch my schedule up so I can get some miles done in cooler temps. That will likely be good for energy levels. 60 Days of HustleI created this 60 DOH so you could come with me on my journey across Tennessee. There is still time to join and I guarantee if you join now you'll get your $8 worth and much more! We talk Vision, Block/Rhythm, Action, Nourish and Energize. JOIN TODAY! I'll provide you with a full $8 refund if you're not fully satisfied.

July 16 in the eveningJuly 17 in the afternoonJuly 18 was a day of restJuly 19 mid dayJuly 20 in the afternoonWhy do I only charge $8 for the 60 Days of Hustle?Somebody asked me a really good question the other day. I actually personally called her and invited her to join the 60 Days of Hustle for eight dollars. She asked, "Why only $8?" I gave it some thought and mentioned that I would be talking about the other programs I have for sale a bit so it was a part of the funnel for my business. That's true but I haven't mentioned anyone should buy anything and won't until I let folks know that there are options from here.
Here's why I only charge $8. I don't need the money. That's not why I'm spending 10 hours a week on this. I've learned folks are more likely to commit and see some change if they have at least a little skin in the game, even if it's just $8. The price is going to double next time BTW so get in now! And... it works! I can't sit on this. My other business actually suffers a bit because of the time and energy I'm putting into this but it works y'all. It's worked for me many times and that's why I'm going through it again with folks now. I go through this stuff four or five times a year and every time I take something else away from it. Pay $8! At some point in the next six weeks something might just click and everything will change for you. Just visit 60 Days of Hustle. My shirts came from the #GRVAT1000k headquarters! The old wolf hunts with the teeth he's got. GVRAT1000k UPDATE!July 1 in the amHannah and I walked around down by Lake Minnetonka in Wayzata, MN for a bit while Elli had cross country practice. These miles count towards a finish and they do add up, one step at a time. The gumball picture came from a pin image I created for the other business I own with my wife. July 1 in the afternoonI picked my route as I ran and stumbled upon this nice little 8.5 mile loop. I'll use this run again to maybe buy myself a day off. The flies were thick. I ran without a shirt for a bit and quickly put it back on. This is hopefully the last time this summer I forget to bring a bandana with me on the trail. July 2 in the afternoonThis picture I took as I was preparing to leave the house. It takes me far too long to leave the house but with the heat I want to make sure I don't forget anything. It's a bit like the old "measure once, cut twice" saying. When it's this hot and humid outside and you're 4.5 miles from the car it's not pleasant at the least and potentially quite dangerous if you don't have what you need. Lot's of salt and a little water. This run I left with what I thought would be 15 miles worth of fuel. I probably could have made it that far but would use what I learned about that particular fueling combination later in the week. July 3 in the eveningAfter running the past couple days in the heat and humidity it was quite refreshing to run in the cool of the night. We had a small family party we attended, then I came home and did a short run. It was still steamy, but much cooler than mid afternoon to be sure. July 4 in the heat of the afternoonAFTON SOLIDARITY RUNOn the Saturday around the 4th of July each year there is a trail race held here in Minnesota called Afton Trail Run. There is a 50k option and a 25k option. It's always a great weekend and it's one of the few true local ultramarathons in the Twin Cities area. This year due to COVID19 concerns Afton was cancelled. After eating far too much food at a feeding that lasted around two hours and resulted in that feeling you get when you've eaten way too much food I went for a run. As I recovered from eating I mapped out what the rest of my afternoon would look like. I mentioned earlier in the week I thought I had enough fuel for 15 miles and stopped at 9. Today, having had that dry run a couple days prior, I planned a bit differently. I figured I'd have a steady drip of cake, pie and cookies to run on and loaded up some electrolytes. I brought two bottles. One had about 3x sweat mixture and the other one was about one full sweat. I had concentration options and I also had my hydration pack full to the top with cool water. I am happy with the pace and it actually felt like I was moving slower than I was. I was just starting to really settle in to the pain when I arrived back at my car, drove home and said goodnight to my family. July 5 in the afternoonI'm just trying to settle in and get the minimum for a few days here. July 6 in the afternoonRunning starts to feel a bit like it's a part of you, a part of your job. Every step, whether running or not, has value and legs "feel" all the time. Most everything becomes about moving forward. I'm excited as I continue on this journey. I'm excited to see how deep can I go? What will I learn about myself this time? Will I have the honor of impacting others in a positive way? Don't know. Just. Keep. Moving. |
