Commitment -> Action; Square -> Rectangle What is this all about? Let me tell you. I started coaching when I was 18 years old. I was an assistant baseball coach for the Osseo American Legion team. I am grateful for the opportunity. Since then I’ve coached baseball, football, and golf and taught gym class. I started personal training when I was 29. I’ve been a trainer, an Assistant Department Head for Life Time Fitness, a Department Head for Life Time Fitness and have owned and operated Training Edge Sports for the last 18 months. It’s safe to say I’ve been exposed to plenty of opportunities for individuals to truly commit to action. When I talk about commitment being the variable here, I’m talking from experience. Experience not only with my work, but in my own life too. You see, where there is action, there is sometimes commitment, but where there is commitment, there is ALWAYS action. Now do you see where the square -> rectangle comes into play? My challenge to you today is not to focus on the action part of achievement, but look at the commitment. Once that’s in place, action is sure to follow. Next week I’ll talk about dreams. I will share with you how dreaming can help establish actionable commitment.
